Rovas gives volunteers and open-source contributors transparent tools to record work, earn Merit, and access support in projects with funds.
What the platform offers
- Work reports — verified hours are recorded as Chrons (10 CHR per hour) and may lead to Merit.
- External verification — work from external apps (e.g. nabezky.sk) can be imported and verified on Rovas.
- Chron surrender — for project offerings (services, premium content) users surrender their own Chrons; Merits are issued to the project, not the buyer.
- Reward sharing — projects can distribute Merit among collaborators per project rules.
- Payment processor — API integration for EUR donations (no Chron payment leg).
What changes from the legacy site
- Donations and content access are EUR-only; donors receive Merit at the fund’s rate.
- Chrons are not used as a “payment currency” between users.
- The indicative support rate is not an “exchange rate” — it informs discretionary board decisions.
Payment API documentation is being prepared for this section.
